Julio is a Professional Hair Stylist and Beauty Consultant with 25 years of experience and emphasis on image creation, beauty enhancement, and all aspects of the beauty service industry. He has a high level of passion for his work and his clients.

Julio started his career at the age of 18 in 1996 with strong family training, his father was a barber, found his passion for the art of creating beauty by working in many hair salons and beauty parlors in his native Cuba.

In 2001 he opened his salon and attracted celebrities, artist,
sophisticated customers, and different clients that turn out to be very loyal.

In 2006 he was hired by Ocean View Monaco for the next six years to work for MSC a cruise company, as a hairstylist than after 4 years Due to his skills he was chosen to work for 2 more years as a Spa Manager and continuing to do hair only to VIP guests. In that position, he interacted continuously with people from all over the world, famous guests, princesses, and a diverse and different background clientele.
In 2013 he started to work for an Italian corporation serving the cruise industry, by providing consulting and training in the hair and beauty segment; he became a professor for graduated hairstylists to perfect and polish their skills.

In the meantime working in different fashion shows and performances with Papito Valladares a popular hairstylist in Habana and director of the “Arte Corte project” becoming an image consultant in the television giving advice and sharing his knowledge in beauty to a wide range of fans.
He became very popular, resulting in high ratings for the program.

His experience also includes working for Telemundo in the Miss Latina Universo 2014 beauty contest. He is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English. His abilities include technical communication skills in French, German and Portuguese.

Mr. Mayo was looking to engage in the beauty industry in the United States. On July 4th of 2015, he immigrated to the US, and his highly missed by his clients and students in Cuba. He attended Novelle Institute, Miami Florida to obtain his license in Cosmetology. In 2016 he worked for 3 years As a Master Stylist at Danny Jelaca Salon in South Miami Beach. After in 2019 he worked as a Master Stylist and Colorist at RikRak Salon in Brickell.

He has worked at Sobe Hair Salon in Miami Beach and is currently working out of Arrive Beauty, a great location in south beach, south of 5th st. as a Master Stylist and Colorist, pleasing clients from all over the world who visit Miami and loyal clients who follow him to wherever he is.
